The Quintessential Queen

QueenUndeterred by the light dusting which already covered the ground near the royal estate of Sandringham in Norfolk the Queen set off through continued snowfall to attend morning worship in early February.
While the heaviest snow in two decades forced millions of people to stay indoors, the monarch turned up for the service at West Newton church. Arriving under grey skies in a peach coat and matching hat with an umbrella in hand, the 82-year-old took a few minutes to chat with well-wishers. Around 100 locals had gathered to greet her, several of them carrying bouquets of flowers to present.
Prince Philip was unable to accompany the Queen as he is still suffering from a bad back, having strained muscles while driving a horse and carriage recently. Doctors have told him to rest until the injury heals, a spokesman said.
