PESHAWAR: Price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was increased by Rs. 3 per kilogram in Peshawar on Wednesday.
Citing low supply of the product, dealers have fixed the new market price at Rs. 103 and warn it may increase further in coming months, according to a DawnNews report.
Daily demand of LPG in the city is approximately 600 tonnes, dealers told the television channel.
Closure of a number of manufacturing units, high transportation costs and increase in petroleum price, have been major factors behind the hike.
Meanwhile, it is feared that gas load-shedding during winter months may even force retailers to increase the price up to Rs. 150 per kg.
LPG is mainly used by rickshawowners and some domestic users in the suburban areas of Peshawar. —DawnNews
