KSE attends capital markets moot in NY











KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) attended the Pakistan Day Capital Markets Conference held in New York.

A KSE statement issued here late on Monday said that 10 large, key listed Pakistani companies like Engro, OGDCL, UBL, Fatima Fertilizer, Lucky Cement etc, are attending the road show hosted by the Bank of New York which has attracted key institutional investors, leading fund managers and financial institutions of the USA.

It said that Adnan Afridi, Managing Director of the Karachi Stock Exchange gave an overview of Pakistan economy and capital markets on the first day’s opening session to leading fund managers in New York.

His presentation was very well received and the efforts of KSE to promote new products and attract global portfolio flows were widely applauded.

Investors urged the KSE to accelerate the process of demutualization and increase the free float of the market.

Adnan Afridi has been invited as guest at the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday and is also scheduled to meet the President of MSCI Index and other leading portfolio managers and stake holders, the KSE statement added.
