Microsoft launches Explore Pakistan campaign

KARACHI: In line with Pakistan Day celebrations, Microsoft has launched a national campaign entitled “Explore Pakistan.”

The two-month campaign starting from March 23 revolves around a quiz accessible through their latest browser, and aims to increase knowledge about Pakistan among citizens by asking trivia on the history and entertainment of the country. Successful quiz givers will be eligible to win two free Netbooks from Microsoft at the end of each month and various gifts will be presented to the qualifiers throughout the duration of the campaign, stated a press release.

Talking about the initiative, Kamal Ahmed, Country Manager Microsoft Pakistan, said: “Pakistani consumers have been limited to the rewards of using the Internet. For most of us, competitions and quizzes on the Internet are with foreign ownership. We at Microsoft felt the need to establish opportunities for Internet users and create venues to leverage the amazing facts and figures about our own country which can also increase our younger generation’s awareness. Through this we are not only encouraging the use of Internet for knowledge and information but also rewarding users with exciting prizes by doing so.

Participants will also be given the freedom to attempt the quiz as many times they want and increase their chances of winning. In addition, they will also be given free download facility for Internet Explorer 8 which is the latest version of the explorer and boasts faster, safer and easier protocols for Internet browsing.
