Ogra raises petrol price by Rs4.37 per litre

KARACHI: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has announced an increase in prices of petroleum products.

According to an Ogra notification, petrol price has been increased by Rs4.37 per litre from Rs61.63 to its new price of Rs66 per litre. As per the new prices, light diesel will be sold at Rs60.22 per litre, high octane at Rs80.52 per litre and Kerosene at Rs62.63 per litre.

Ogra had sent the summary to the government to increase fuel prices on October 30 but the cabinet knocked it down.

The price hike is likely to attract criticism from the business community and the common consumers.
