NBP receives Rs. 5.24 bln flood donation

ISLAMABAD: The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has received donations of Rs 5.24 billion from all across the country under the Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund-2010 till October 18.

According to NBP data, the highest amount of Rs 5.13 billion was collected in Federal Capital followed by Sindh province from where the bank received donations of Rs 68 million.


NBP received donations of Rs34 million from Punjab province, Rs 2 million from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Rs. 797,970 from Balochistan.

Similarly, donations of Rs.4 million were received from Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Rs.49,000 from Gilgit Baltistan.

The National Bank of Pakistan has also contributed an amount of Rs.50 million for the rehabilitation of flood victims. 

It may be recalled that grand total of the flood fund includes cheques sent for collection of other banks amounting to Rs.182 million.

The donors have been requested to deposit their donations in any branch of NBP throughout the country in Account No. 898989.
