Emirates races to Tokyo
















KARACHI: Emirates announced the launch of its inaugural flight to Tokyo-Japan's capital city and one of the worldís leading economic hubs. Tokyo will be Emiratesí 102nd international destination, and closely follows the recent launch of operations to Durban and Luanda.

Tokyo is the first of a number of exciting route launches of 2010 for Emirates, as the airline's network expands across the six continents that it currently flies to non-stop from Dubai. Tokyo's 28th March launch is followed by the start of services to Amsterdam on 1st May, Prague on 1st July and the Spanish city of Madrid on 1st August and Senegalese city of Dakar on September 1st.

This was announced by Emirates Corporate Sales Manager Pakistan, Noman Siddiqui at a press briefing held today to share the successful launch of Emirates services to Tokyo. He further said our launch of Tokyo flights will further boost trade relations between Pakistan and Japan. According to estimates, Pakistani immigrants formulate the third-largest Muslim community in Japan and Emirates' services will not only help establish further links with Japan but also foster stronger trade relations facilitating the passage of business and leisure travelers as well as smooth transfer of cargo.**
