ISLAMABAD: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen to enhance bilateral trade and economic relations with Pakistan said the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Abdul Aziz Bin Inrahim Bin Saleh Al-Ghadeer while talking to a delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry that called on him.
The ambassador stressed for the need of developing strong institutional linkages between the two countries to strengthen bilateral investment and commercial ties.
He said many Saudi companies have invested in Pakistan in diverse fields and our two-way trade stands at around $5.7 billion, which needs to be further improved as there is a large potential to increase it, he added.
Saudi government has formulated investment friendly policies and Pakistani investors should invest in Saudi Arabia to earn high returns, he said.
President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Zahid Maqbool said that ICCI intends to take a business delegation to Saudi Arabia in near future. Maqbool said more Saudi companies should open franchise offices in Pakistan and enter into joint ventures with their Pakistan counterparts, particularly in oil and gas sector.
